Jesus “Chuy” Mireles Morales, age 79, passed away peacefully with his children by his side on April 1, 2026. He was born on November 16, 1946 in Agujita, Sabinas, Coahuila, and later made his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Chuy was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children Jesus Mireles Jr., Javier Mireles, Juan Mireles, Marissa Cannon (Mireles), Samantha Mireles, and Mario Mireles, as well as his 15 cherished grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy. He took great pride as a painter, but beyond his work, Chuy’s true passion was music. 

He found joy performing as a mariachi, playing the trumpet and sharing his love of music with others. Known for his free spirit and outgoing nature, Chuy had a way of lighting up any room he entered. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and lived his life with kindness, generosity, and a deep love for those around him.
