Jesse E. Saxton Jr., 91, passed on March 9, 2026, and is now in the hands of our faithful Lord and Savior, Jesus.
Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Jesse and Fern Saxton, Jesse is survived by his sister Tina Milton; sister-in-law Carolyn Saxton; his daughter Joyce Carabajal; stepdaughter Matti Loveland and husband Bill; and stepson David Thomas. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Saxton; brothers Bobbie Cohee, Harold “Gene” Saxton, and Ray Saxton.
Jesse attended Albuquerque High School and joined the U.S. Navy National Guard in 1952, where he earned his G.E.D. He then served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1958, stationed in Moriarty, NM, with the 768th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron.
After 15 years with the Federal Aviation Administration, Jesse retired in 1977 as an Air Traffic Control Specialist and was later certified as an ATC instructor in 1982 at the University of Oklahoma. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Albuquerque in 1977 and was on the Dean’s List. He also enjoyed a successful sales and management career in real estate, insurance, and automobile sales, frequently ranking as a top producer.
Jesse especially loved golf and bowling. Being a consistent high achiever, he received numerous first-place trophies and holes-in-one playing golf, and recognition for his outstanding bowling scores.
Friends and family are welcome to attend the interment at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., for Jesse and his wife, Kay Peters Saxton, who passed in 2024.
