Jerry Paul Prospero Perea

Jerry Paul Prospero Perea, age 29, passed away on June 16, 2023 in Albuquerque, NM. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished.

Jerry is survived by his beloved son, Ezeriaha Perea, who was the light of his life. He is also survived by his parents, Jerry Perea and Veronica Parra; his step-mother, Denise Perea; his step-father, Samuel Salazar; his sisters, Natasha Parra and Geraldine Perea; his step-sisters, Lynnae Gallegos and Alicia Salazar; his brother-in-law, Joe Marino; and Alex Maldonado and his nephew Joseph Garcia and Eli Marino. Additionally, he leaves behind two nieces, Eliza Zamora and Amiyah Zamora. Jerry was a source of joy for his grandparents Manuel Parra and Bernadette Perea. He was also loved deeply by his uncles Marty Parra, Joe Perea, and countless cousins and close friends who will forever be grateful for the impact he had on their lives.  Jerry is preceded in death by, Grandfather John B. Perea; Grandmother Geraldine Parra; Uncle Lawerence Perea; and Uncle Abie Parra.

In Jerry's presence, one couldn't help but notice the kindness emanating from him. He possessed an extraordinary ability to never hold a grudge regardless of the circumstances. Offering a helping hand came naturally to him as he held an unwavering dedication to those he cared about. His family held a special place in his heart, surrounded by their love which fueled him with happiness each day.

In addition to his loved ones, Jerry had a passion for cutting hair which brought him immense joy. Gathering with family and friends was another treasure he held dear to his heart.

Jerry's untimely departure has left an unfillable void in our lives. He touched each of our hearts in unique ways and had an incredible gift for seeing the best in everyone. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts, reminding us of the love and light he brought into our lives.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 5 - 7 PM at the Trujillo Family Funeral Home, where family and friends will come together to honor and remember Jerry's remarkable life.  Burial will follow at Los Lentes Cemetery on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 10:45AM.
