Jasmine Jacklyn Jackson, 28, of Albuquerque, NM unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her family. Rosary and funeral services will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Albuquerque, NM on Thursday, November 6th, 2025 at 10:15 am, mass to immediately follow.

Jasmine Jackson was born February 15, 1997, in Albuquerque, NM. She was a graduate of University New Mexico UNM with a Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering in November 2023. Upon graduation Jasmine was one of few selected to participate in a research program focused on technological advancement in Orthopedic medical devices at Sandia National Labs. Jasmine was currently enrolled in the P.h. D program at UNM, expected graduating class of 2026. She was a hard worker and dedicated to her education so she can make a difference in the world. Her dream was to be able to get a great job so she could support her, her mom, and sister Jessica. She was loving, caring, generous, and always serious even though everyone knew she was a jokester. She loved to cook for her family. Jasmine was a beautiful soul who loved unconditionally.

Her survivors include her mother, Brigida Leyba; siblings Dehaughtry Wideman, Petrita Leyba, Jessica Leyba, Victor P. Leyba, Jr. and wife Leah Leyba of Albuquerque, NM. Nieces Ieisha (Elijah), Trinity, Azhsh, and Cataleya. Nephews Ezekiel and Arlo. Great-niece; Iris. She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Lee Jackson. Honorable family, Amanda and her children, Jose, Octavia (fiance Devereaux), Alicia, Jacory, Jahaven, and grandchildren, Jabri and Jayvion.

Jasmine was very close to all of her cousins and had a very special bond with each of them, they were more like her brothers and sisters. She loved all her close friends very much, if it wasn’t for the close relationship and support for one another she wouldn’t have been able to excel in school. We are all so thankful for everyone who was a part of making Jasmine’s life a special one.
