Janet Rose Stageman, age 89, passed away on June 18, 2026 in Albuquerque, New Mexico after suffering a stroke. She was born on July 23, 1936, in Quincy, Illinois. She was the only child of Kenneth Rose and Lucille Voshall, both of south-central Illinois. In 1948, the family moved to Dubuque, Iowa where Janet graduated high school. Following high school, Janet attended college and obtained a Bachelor of Science in nursing at the University of Iowa. It was there she met her future husband, John Stageman who was studying medicine. They married following his graduation on June 18, 1960 and subsequently adopted three children. Chris (Ann) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Alex (deceased), and Megan (Craig Henson) of Bozeman, Montana. The family moved to Michigan in 1968 and following retirement, Janet and John moved to their property on Munuscong Bay in Michigan’s upper peninsula and their cherished community of Pickford. Janet loved the Lord and her family, was quick to make a friend, and her life and memory are written on our hearts.
