In Loving Memory of Janet M. Sanchez
Janet M. Sanchez, age 69, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on April 17, 2026, surrounded by the family she cherished above all else. Born on March 16, 1957, to the late Natividad and Maria Jaramillo, Janet lived a life defined by devotion, resilience, and an unwavering love for her family. Janet was the true heart of the Sanchez home. As a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, she created a foundation of warmth that extended to everyone who walked through her door.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ubaldo Sanchez Jr.; her children, Diego, Melissa her spouse Ernest Cordova, Carlos, Angel and her spouse Adam Dodge; and four grandchildren, Ernesto and Elyssia Cordova, Dustin Dodge, Isaiah Sanchez; and one great-grandchild Michael Cordova Duarte, and a wide circle of friends who were like family. To know Janet was to know the joy of her infectious laugh and the comfort of her legendary cooking. But beyond the meals and the laughter, Janet was our teacher. She lived by a simple but powerful code: To be kind, stay strong, and always take care of one another. She was a woman of incredible grit who taught her children to work hard for their dreams and to never, ever give up, no matter the obstacle. Her faith was her compass. She walked through life with a prayer in her heart, constantly reminding those she loved to "keep God close." Her final message to us was one of eternal comfort: That through prayer, she would always be with us, watching over us just as she did in life. She was loved deeply by all of us and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled. She will be truly, dearly missed by everyone whose life she touched.
A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, May 1, 2026 beginning at 4:00 pm in the Trujillo Family Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Edgar Torres officiating.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you, And whispered, "Come to Me." A golden heart stopped beating, Hard-working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
In Loving Memory
Janet M. Sanchez
