James Ray Hobbs

James Ray Hobbs, also lovingly known as Jim or Jimmy, passed away on November 02, 2022 at the age of 79.

Jim was born on March 12, 1943 in Carlsbad, New Mexico and was also a resident of Tucson, AZ (where he met and married his wife of 31 years) and Albuquerque, NM. He often traveled and lived for work throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. Jim worked in banking for over 25 years and was an Oil & Gas professional for over 25 years. He was a member of the New Mexico Kiwanis service club, enjoyed gardening, cooking, his beloved pets, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys traveling with his wife by his side and spending quality time with family and friends. Jim is survived by his wife, Jennifer Hobbs, his children Brenda Powell (and husband Kurt Sr), Kyle Hobbs (and wife Molly and her children), Autumn Ambrogi (and husband Jared), and Jessica Moon. He is also survived by his brother Phil Hobbs (and wife Barbara) and his nieces (Tonya and Linda). Jim loved his four grandchildren Kurtis Jr (and wife Kelsiedean), Parker, Isaac (who is with Jim in heaven), Lochlan and Elsa; and two great-grandchildren (Wyatt and Ryliedean). He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ida May Hobbs.
