James "Jimmy" Gilbert JImenez, age 63 of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 9, 2026.

He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jimmy loved all sports, especially basketball and football. His favorite teams were Las Vegas Raiders and Golden State Warriors. In his earlier years, Jimmy was a great athlete himself. In high school he was all city guard. He played basketball himself in a City League. He was a coach for AYBL and a mentor for many young athletes.

He is survived by his daughter Trista Jimenez, his Mother Joanne Jimenez, his Father Gilbert Jimenez, his brother John Jimenez, and his Girlfriend Christina Ramer, Uncle and Aunt Joe and Bev Listek, Aunt Mary, three nephews, their children, numerous other relatives and friends and his dog, Smoke. 

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Joe and Josephine Listek, Step Father David McClelland, and Uncle Johnny Jimenez.

Joanne and Johnny Jimenez want to give a special Thank You to Jimmy's caregivers, Mike Reinke and Les White and all those that cared for him.
