Jack Thomas Borders
July 2, 1994 – May 8, 2025
Jack Thomas Borders, age 30, a resident of Mountainair, New Mexico, sadly passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 8, 2025. Jack was born in Waxahachie, Texas, on July 2, 1994, to Robert Kevin Borders and Darla Hodge Borders. Jack is survived by his grandfather, Carl Thomas Borders (Papaw); his grandmother, Sandra Pate; his mother, Darla Hodge Borders; his grandfather, James Hodge; his brothers, Carl, Lance, Lawrence, and Robert Fisher; his aunts and uncles, Jennifer Borders, Contessa Archuleta, Michelle Camacho, Niki and David Torres, Dwane Hodge, and Donna and Terry Smith. Jack is also survived by his best friend, Jesse Torres; one nephew; many cousins; and many friends. Jack was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kevin Borders, whom he loved so much; his father was his hero. He missed his father more than words can say. He is also preceded in death by his grandmother, (Nanny) Carol Borders; his grandmother (Grandmama), DeLores Clevenger Hodge; his nephew, James Fisher; and his Aunt, Laura Hodge.
Jack was a lovely and caring person who always tried to help and give what he could to many people. He always wanted to try to make someone happy; he didn't like to see people sad or upset. He always loved to give his loved ones and friends a rock; he would always find some pretty, interesting, cool-looking rocks. Jack's favorite color was red; he loved cacti and had a lot of knowledge about them. He loved listening to his techno music with headphones, using his cell phone or whatever music device he may have had. He loved his PB&J sandwiches, his cereal and milk, which he called 'moo juice,' and he loved his gummy candies. If you knew Jack, you knew he loved any kind of sweets and loved any kind of sodas, but especially grape soda, and of course, loved to have his Monster Reserve Orange Dreamsicle energy drink. He loved his anime cartoons and movies; he liked anything in burrito form, and if he could put soup in a burrito, he would. Jack also loved being an explorer of old and new things; he was also very smart when it came to technology. Jack never met a stranger; everyone to him was his friend. Most importantly of all, Jack was a believer of our Heavenly Father, GOD. Jack truly touched so many hearts.
Jack will be forever missed and never forgotten. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Mountainair First Baptist, 108 West Broadway, Mountainair, New Mexico 87036.
