Isidro “Bushman” Martinez Guerrero was born on November 17, 1936 & passed away at home in his bed the morning of January 8, 2023, at the age of 86. Sid took his first & last breath in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He was a proud 65 year Veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the 2nd Infantry Division & the 56thEngineer Company & was awarded with Expert Marksmanship during his service.

He represented the TV & Film Industry for over 50 years as a Gold Card holding member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local Union 480. He had the pleasure of being apart of projects such as Commando, The Walton’s, Kung Fu, King Kong, Convoy, All The Pretty Horses, Silverado, Wild Wild West, The Missing, & many more.

Sid was a published author of folklore & poetry. He was a lifelong fan of the Los Angels Dodgers & was a true believer in the “Roswell Incident”. He was an avid boxer who coached at the Boys Club in Roswell & even helped take their team to the Golden Gloves Amateur Boxing of the U.S. Some of Sid’s many true passions also included being a licensed barber for 63 years & running his own shop called “Bushman’s”, as was being a loving uncle, father, & grandfather.

Sid was cared for & made comfortable in his final days by his close friends Michele Serna & Ladonna Siar-Wujcik, as well as his granddaughter-in-law Amanda Diaz-Larson.

Sid is survived by his children Ralph Diaz, Sr. & Brenda Perez, his nephews Mike Guerrero & Tony Guerrero, his niece Anita Guerrero, his grandchildren Vanessa Gonzalez, Jimmy Diaz, Ramiro Ruiz Guerrero, Chris Guerrero, Gabriel Perez, Serena Diaz-Larson, Ralph Diaz, Jr., Anthony Vasquez, & Melissa Diaz, as well as his many many great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother Natividad Martinez Padgett, his father Antonio Guerrero, his brothers Alfredo Guerrero, Valentino Guerrero, & Ocie Padgett, his nephew Vincent Guerrero, his daughter Geri-Ann Guerrero, & his grandson Joseph Vasquez. Sid will be laid to rest with Honors in Santa Fe, New Mexico at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday, February 16th at 2pm following his Last Respects.
