Inez Aguilar-Davis

Inez Aguilar-Davis, 63, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the third daughter born to George and Ida Mae Aguilar on July 10, 1962, in Socorro, NM, a place where "Warriors" are born.

Inez was a warrior in every sense of the word; a woman of conviction who would move heaven and earth to "get 'er done." Her family remembers her for her unwavering strength, fierce love, and the way she always put family first.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Davis; son, Isaiah Aguilar; and daughters, Elizabeth Aguilar, Shekinah Aguilar-Davis, and Hadassah Aguilar-Davis. She is also survived by her grandchildren, James Aguilar (Sakiah), Eli Aguilar, Miranda Aguilar, and Sebastian "Bash" Gallegos; great-grandson, Eliseo Aguilar; cousin, Barbara Drake Efsic; and lifelong friends, Patricia Castillo, Sylvia Ortega, and Rudy Ortega.

She was preceded in death by Joseph Torres; her parents, George and Ida Mae Aguilar; her son, Luke Elijah Aguilar-Davis; aunts, Emma B. Henderson and Priscilla Montoya; and grandparents, Dorothy and Ramon Baca, and Valente and Ines Aguilar.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Santiago Macias, Nurse Deeana, Sherry Burns of End of Life Options, her doula, and Presbyterian Hospice.

At Inez's request, no services will be held. She will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
