Henry Jose Montano of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at the age of 65. He was born on June 6, 1961, to Jose and Maria Montano in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Henry truly believed in his Catholic faith. He was mainly a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, but he did briefly live in Denver, Colorado, but realized Albuquerque was his home. He had no children of his own, but he loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews. He loved to socialize, especially at family gatherings such as Matanzas and Christmas events. At any gathering people always knew when Henry was present because of his unique laugh that would spark reactions of amusement in others. He truly had a laughter that many of his family and friends will never forget.

He genuinely loved all his pets in his lifetime and his last words when he left his home by ambulance was “make sure to take care of Milo (his rescue dog).” They had a very unique bond. He would take him for rides whenever he left the house and especially loved going to the park.

Henry immensely loved to go fishing with family and friends, he also enjoyed camping when he could go on occasion. He enjoyed listening to NM music, which he often sang along; and, either at home or events he enjoyed dancing to the same music or other genres. His favorite pastime was watching a variety of TV with his longtime companion Lorraine. They enjoyed a variety of shows and movies together; especially soap operas and game shows. He also enjoyed watching NFL and supporting the Dallas Cowboys.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jose and Maria Montano and brother-in-law Jack Hoskins. He is survived by his companion of 26 years, Lorraine Rodarte and their pet Milo; his 5 siblings, Samuel Montano and wife Elvira; Guadalupe Emanuel and husband, Daren; Alejandro Montano and wife, Lori; Marie Olivaras and husband, Ed; Jennifer Hoskins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and good friends.
