Gloria Lisa Jaramillo

Gloria was born on May 24, 1965, to Ernest and Emilia Jaramillo in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was the seventh of eight siblings.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Emilia Jaramillo, her first husband, John L. Turrietta, and five sisters, Alba Garcia, Deluvina Gutrierrez, Corina Garcia, Maria Anna Griego- Espinosa and Mary Lou Atencio.

She is survived by her husband Guadalupe Zarraga, two brothers Rudy Jaramillo and David Jaramillo, daughter Naomi Jaramillo and son Santiago Jaramillo, grandchildren, Angelique, Analia, Emilia, Fernando and Dominic of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Gloria was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico who enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She was a social butterfly who loved attending all social events from birthday parties to baby showers. She had a zest for living life to the fullest. When you were with her you knew, you were going to have a good time. She was always dancing and singing. In her younger years she was always hosting all the family events from birthday parties to weddings to camping trips. Everyone always said, call Gloria or Gloria will know. She loved creating traditions, like annual biscochito baking, tamale making, lent dinner on Ash Wednesday or pre-trick or treating Halloween dinner. She was the go-to person for clothes alteration and wedding bouquets. She loved doing crafts for events or painting with grandchildren. If you ever played board games with her, you had to watch her because she always cheated. It was only because she couldn’t stand to lose. She always brought good energy to any situation and always listened. Everyone loved to talk to her because she was compassionate, wise and always comforting. Her spirit was young and it is unfortunate that her body couldn’t keep up because she was such a good person. She would always help anyone, no matter what it was. If she had it to give, it was yours. Gloria will truly be missed by so many family and friends.

Gloria was a devout Catholic and member of Our Lady of Assumption Church.

 Celebration of Life for Gloria:

There will be a viewing and time to share stories of Gloria at the Trujillo Family Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 2 nd , 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Rosary and Mass will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, located at 811 Guaymas Pl NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. There will be a short viewing at 10:00 am with Rosary starting at 10:30 am following with Mass at 11:00 am. Services will conclude at 12:00pm, followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Park, located at 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87107.
