It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of George Sanchez, who left us on Saturday, November 30th, in his hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. George courageously battled serious health issues in recent years, facing each challenge with strength and a smile. Despite the pain, he remained a hero to all who knew him, staying resilient until the very end. George was born on March 14, 1961, to George and Kila Sanchez in Las Cruces NM. After graduating from New Mexico State University, he pursued his passion for electronics, working with several companies in Albuquerque, Dallas, and San Diego.
George is survived by his beloved wife, Elva, with whom he shared many adventures, their daughter Clarissa and son-in-law Paul Sandoval, his brother Karl Sanchez, and numerous friends and extended family.
In accordance with George’s wishes, the family will hold a Celebration of Life in early 2025. George had a special place in his heart for children who suffered as he did, and in his honor, the family asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to help fund cancer research. Contributions can be made in his name through the link below.
We will forever remember George for his kindness, bravery, and the love he shared with all of us.
