Evangelina Pike

Evangelina Pike, age 84, peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2024, with her daughter by her side. Born on February 15, 1940, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late Alice Elesta Griego and Demetrio Griego II, Evangelina led a life filled with love and dedication.

Married to Colbert Jacobs and later to Henry Pike, Evangelina was a devoted mother and a hardworking individual. She devoted 35 years of her life to service at US New Mexico Federal Credit Union, now known as the US Eagle Federal Credit Union. After the passing of her second husband in 2001, she made Las Vegas, NM her home in 2008 alongside her daughter until moving into a nursing facility in 2022.

Evangelina is survived by her loving daughter Geraldine "Geri" Madrid (Domingo), and cherished siblings Leo Griego (Barbara), Demetrio Griego, Sylvia Vielma (David), and Kathy McLarty. She will be fondly remembered by her granddaughter Allison Flores (Ryan), great-grandchildren Madison and Nathan, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

The funeral services honoring Evangelina's life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, at the Trujillo Family Funeral Home Chapel located at 110 Alvarado Dr. S.E., Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at 11:30 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd., Albuquerque, NM.

Pallbearers for the service will be Anthony Vielma, Patrick Vielma, Stephen Griego, Max Griego, Rudy Griego, and Ryan Ortiz.

Geri Madrid extends heartfelt gratitude to all who have shown their support through their thoughts, prayers, calls, and visits during this challenging time. Special thanks are extended to the compassionate staff of La Vida Buena Nursing Home and Anvoi Hospice Care for the exceptional care provided.

Evangelina will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
