Erlinda Garcia

Born in Lemitar, New Mexico, Erlinda Garcia passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 75. She was a beloved resident of Rio Rancho.

She is survived by Joe Garcia; her grandson, Joe "Angel" Garcia Jr.; two granddaughters; her sister, Rosie Lopez; and her brothers, Raymond, Rudy, Jr Avalos.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Garcia; her son, Joe “Chippy” Garcia Jr.; her parents, Vera and Lorenzo Avalos; her brother, Henry Avalos; and her nephews, Rudy “Pepino” Avalos Jr. and Angelo “Fruiters” Avalos.

Linda was deeply loved by her family and became a mother figure after the loss of our mother. She owned a restaurant in Hatch, New Mexico, and was known as an excellent cook. Linda will be dearly missed and forever remembered. Till we meet again, we love you, Linda.

God feels our pain. When someone we love is hurting, their ache becomes our ache. We cry, and tears flow easily when our hearts are heavy. God hurts when we hurt, and He walks with us in our sorrow.
