Erik Josef Bockemeier, 48, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on May 24th, 2025. He
was born on November 6th, 1976, in Jacksonville, IL.
Erik was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Stephen William Bockemeier and
Marcia Elizabeth Hagele Bockemeier, and his youngest brother, Andrew Stephen
Bockemeier. All three passed away alongside Erik on the same tragic day.
He is survived by his brother, Philip Bockemeier, Philip’s wife, Karen, and their two
children, Keith and Hannah, who will forever cherish Erik’s vibrant spirit and loving
presence.
Erik moved with his family to Albuquerque in 1975, where he was raised. His dreams
took him to Los Angeles, California, where he pursued a career in acting. After returning
to Albuquerque, Erik earned a bachelor's degree in film from the University of New
Mexico. His talents brought him to the screen with appearances in television shows
such as E.R. and Breaking Bad, and a role in the film Appaloosa, among others. He
was also active in theatre and independent projects, and he poured his energy into
running a karaoke business that brought joy to countless people.
Erik was known for his kind heart, magnetic personality, and unforgettable smile. He left
a lasting impression on everyone he met and will be deeply missed by his family,
friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
