In loving memory of Emma P. Lovato, born on July 23, 1947, in Magdalena, New Mexico, who passed away on July 9, 2026, in Albuquerque. Emma was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend. Her strength, generosity, and kindness left an indelible mark, especially on her children.

Emma is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Fidel Filomeno Lovato, and their children Norman (Nancy), Emily (Selina), and Anna (Daniel Sosa IV). She lives on in the hearts of her grandchildren Victor (Sarah), Emma Patricia (Paul Baca), Michael, Nicholas John (Felicia), Danny (Laura), and Joshua Jude Guadalupe. Her siblings Joe, Rudy, Epimenio, Patrick, John David, twin sister Sarah, and sister Isabel also continue to cherish her memory. Emma joins her parents, Augustine and Elisa (Alice) Paez, and her brother Robert G. Paez in peace.

Married in October 1969 to Fidel, Emma devoted her life to her family, faith, and community. A devout Catholic, she was an active member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, participating in the choir and cherishing her faith. Her prayers and the Rosary were a source of solace, and she sought inspiration from many saints, including St. Michael and St. Joseph.

Emma enjoyed music, from oldies to classic country, and loved taking long drives and shopping. In 2001, she moved with her family to Albuquerque, where she built a life filled with love and dedication.

Her grandchildren will carry her as pallbearers: Victor, Emma Patricia, Michael, Nicholas John, Danny, and Joshua Jude Guadalupe. Honorary pallbearers are her beloved godchildren.

The Lovato family extends heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Services will be held in Magdalena, New Mexico. Emma’s legacy of love and kindness will forever be cherished by all who knew her.

Services will be updated as soon as they are available.
