Emiliano “Toby” Maestas

Emiliano “Toby” Maestas, age 76, went home to be with his Lord and savior. He left us Wednesday, April 12, 2023. He is survived by his sons Chris Maestas, Dennis Maestas and Eric Maestas, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Father Jose Ignacio Maestas, his Mother Mary Antoinette Maestas and Sister Elizabeth Saiz.

Emiliano loved fishing, reading the newspaper, cracking jokes, and a good green chile stew. He loved playing bingo at the casino and stopping on the way home for a McDonalds cheeseburger and coke. 

He loved the south valley where he grew up and enjoyed a good song from Little Joe & La Familia. This music always helped him cherish all his childhood memories. 

His love for The Cowboys and the Lobos football always made his weekends exciting and gave him something to look forward to when he wasn’t keeping up with all other sports.  

Emiliano will be loved and missed by his children, grandchildren, family and many friends. 

Emiliano will be cremated and will remain in care of his son Eric Maestas. 

A Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 10:00am
