Emilia R. Garcia

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emilia R Garcia (2/10/1934 – 3/15/2023). Emilia was born on February 10, 1934, in Silver City New Mexico. She attended the New Mexico School For the Deaf in Santa Fe but lived much of her life in Albuquerque.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Eloy Garcia of Clayton New Mexico; sister Carmen Leyba & brother Alfredo Roybal.

 She is survived by her sister, Mary Alvo; her daughters, Esperanza Garcia & Theresa Guardiola; grandchildren, Delilah, Damien, & Desiree Guardiola; and Daizy Perchez.

She is also survived by her 8 great grandchildren, Eloy, Eli, & Esaias Duarte; Daezha, Jaeden, & Destany Guardiola; Damitrius Saavedra; and Dominic Baldonado Jr.

Emilia was a loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. We always cherished her stubbornness and playful nature, but we will deeply miss her radiant smile. Our hearts ache for the woman who was our rock. She taught us that through thick and thin, family is everything. Emilia will be missed by all those who were fortunate to have known her.

The family has chosen to do a private ceremony, but we appreciate the love and prayers.
