Eloisa Mary Lopez

July 5, 1944 — July 19, 2023

Our hearts cherish the beautiful memory of Eloisa. A vibrant soul who embraced life with joy, love and a touch of playful humor. She was a remarkable wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, great great grandma, sister, aunt and friend, and her love for each of us knew no bounds.

All her life she was known as Eloisa until a few years ago she discovered that her real name was Mary, adding a delightful twist to her already fascinating story.

Her kitchen was not just a place where her delicious meals filled our hearts and bellies with warmth and happiness, but a gathering spot for family and friends to enjoy time together.

Eloisa's home had a room dedicated to Betty Boop memorabilia, reflecting her fun loving spirit. Her enthusiasm for life was contagious. Whether it was dancing in the car or showing off her moves on the dance floor, she could turn any moment into a joyful celebration.

She had a sweet habit of joking around and making everyone smile with her witty remarks and infectious laughter. Even while watching her Telenovelas on TV,  she would candidly express her feelings about certain actors, making the viewing experience all the more enjoyable.

Eloisa had a special fondness for pens, purses and pajamas and had an extensive collection of each. She had a keen eye for fashion,  never leaving the house wirhout her hair done. She could effortlessly accessorize with her rings, jewelry and of course her lipstick, ( she called it her "lippie stick",) which she would ALWAYS have on.

Her love extended beyond her kitchen and home. She loved spending time with her husband, family and friends, creating precious memories filled with love and laughter. Holidays were especially dear to her heart because her home would come alive with love and happiness during these special occasions. She was the heart of our family gatherings bringing everyone together with her warm embrace and genuine love. She cherished these moments and her presence made every celebration more meaningful and memorable.

Her adventurous spirit and love for the little pleasures in life were truly beautiful. She loved her candy and always had some mint candies, the soft red and white ones, in her purse or sweater pockets and offering them to everyone. She also loved the excitement of the casino.

Simon, her devoted husband, exemplifies the true meaning of LOVE and commitment. As life presented challenges, his love for her only grew stronger.  He faced every obstacle with unwavering dedication,  never once leaving her side. When she had difficulties,  he was her rock, offering comfort and support without hesitation.  His commitment and deep love for her serves as an inspiration to all. His devotion,  care and presence in her life shows the power of love knows no boundaries.

As we all cherish the memory of our beautiful Eloisa (Mary) Lopez, her legacy lives on in the love and laughter she shared with us. She taught us to dance through life with enthusiasm and grace. Her presence remains in our hearts, a guiding light to treasure family bonds and celebrate every moment with our loved ones."

The Family will be making an announcement as to when and where Eloisa's "Celebration of Life" will be.
