IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth "Liz"
Staley Sullivan
October 26, 1956 – January 26, 2026
In Loving Memory of Liz Staley Sullivan
Elizabeth “Liz” Staley Sullivan, born on October 26, 1956, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on January 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Born to her parents Victor and Elizabeth Staley, Liz grew up with a fierce love for her family that remained the center of her world throughout her life.
She is lovingly remembered by her brother Vic (Sherri) Staley and her sisters Bar Staley, Rose (Joe) DeMar, and Pat (Paul) Gonzales, each of whom she cherished deeply. She also loved her nieces and nephews with all her heart, holding a special place for each of them. Liz’s heart was fullest when she was with her children—her daughter Jenny (Corey) Sullivan Lucero and her son David Sullivan—who were her pride and joy. Her granddaughters Aspen Sullivan, Jaden (Aiden) Northrup Stipe, and Lauren Sullivan brought her endless happiness, love, and laughs. To them, she was known as Hama. She watched over the birth of her great grandson, Rowan Stipe, from heaven with the same boundless love she gave to everyone she held close.
Liz shared a lifelong bond with her best friend Susan Turner who was more like a sister than a friend. Their laughter, adventures, and unwavering support for one another were a constant source of joy in Liz’s life.
She had a spirit that was both gentle, stubborn and bold. Liz loved the music of Journey and Bon Jovi, found peace in fishing, admired the strength and beauty of wolves, and never passed up a cold Coke with plenty of ice. These simple pleasures painted the picture of a woman who embraced life with an open heart.
Liz will forever be remembered for her kindness, her loyalty, and the way she loved—fully, fiercely, and without hesitation. She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory in every story told, every song played, and every moment of quiet reflection.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love will remain with us always.
