In Loving Memory of Edward Scott Baker
Edward Scott Baker, a man of simple tastes, profound integrity, and deep love for his family, country, and God, passed into eternal rest on August 8, 2025. Born on October 11, 1967, in Dunkirk, New York. Ed’s life was a testament to his steadfast values and quiet strength.
A true patriot, Ed’s passions were woven into the fabric of American life. He had an enduring fascination with anything that had wheels and an engine, finding joy in the mechanics and freedom of the open road. This skill with his hands also translated to a talent for building guns, a craft he approached with precision and respect. Music was a constant source of joy and the soundtrack to his life.
Above all, Ed was a devoted family man. His passing preceded by the loss of his father, Norman. He leaves behind a legacy of love in his wife Kayla, his three children: Brandon, Kaitlyn, her husband Brian, Tyler, his wife Ally, and his grandkids Emma, Josh, Noah, and Bailey. He is also survived by his loving mother, Jean, his sister Denise, his brother, Mark, as well as his mother-in-law, Linda. He was a pillar of strength for them all, and his guidance and unwavering presence will be profoundly missed.
Those who knew Ed will remember him as a man of unmatched integrity—a simple person whose word was his bond and whose actions were guided by a strong moral compass and his deep faith in God. His legacy is not one of material wealth, but of a life lived with honor, purpose, and an abundance of love. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his skilled hands, and the quiet conviction with which he lived his life.
Ed’s celebration of life will be held on August 25, 2025 from 11:00am to 1:00pm
