September 26,1958 – May 24,2023

Edmund Torres, 64 years old, left this earth to be with our Lord on May 24,2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Edmund fought a long but strong battle with cancer for the last ten years.  Unfortunately, for us the good Lord said you’ve fought long and hard and now my son it’s time to come home and rest.

He was proceeded in death by mom and dad, Arturo and Celia Torres, brother Danny Torres and a second mom Susie Villescas.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years Barbara Torres, son Daniel Torres, daughter Valerie Torres and of course his pride and joy grandson Jhonen Torres.  Also, brother Arturo Torres, Jr., sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Clarence Garcia, brother and sister-in-law Angel and Sharon Torres. Special sisters and brothers-in-law Carol and Mark Baca, Charlene, and Anthony Baca, not to mention loads of cousins and aunts he considered brothers and sisters along with many nieces and nephews.

Edmund was not only an exceptional husband, magnificent father, and grandfather, he was also an awesome individual and friend who will be severely missed.  He ALWAYS thought of everyone and their needs first without ever thinking of himself.

We love you forever, we love you for always!!!

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Trujillo Family Funeral Home Chapel, 110 Alvarado Drive SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.

Also, a very special thank you to the Presbyterian Hospice Team who stood by our side every minute of every day, especially Stephanie our nurse who became a very special part of our family.
