Prayer of the Heart
Bless those who mourn, eternal God, with the comfort of your love that they may face each new
day with hope and certainty that nothing can destroy the good that has been given. May their memories
become joyful, their days enriched with friendships, and their lives encircled by your love.
Edith was born in Santa Fe New Mexico to Mary and Harry Brown. There she and her siblings,
Andrew and Mary Agnes lived a busy, yet happy life on a small ranch. She graduated with honors from
Santa Fe High School.
Edith is survived by her Loving Husband Vernon J. Shiplet, Son Erick M. Smith, his fiancé Leonore
M. Reyes, and sister Mary Agnes “Aggie” Gaffney, several nieces and nephews, and many loving friends.
A celebration of life service will be Sunday March 12, 2023, at Olive Tree Fellowship, 2621 Cagua
NE, Albuquerque N.M at 11:00 AM.
Godspeed Edith and Shalom.

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He has me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside the
still waters. He revives my soul; He guides me on paths of righteousness for His glory. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no harm, For you are with me ... Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all
the days of my life, And I shall abide in the house of the Lord forever.
