Dr. John J. Meister, a cherished educator and passionate chemist, passed away on July 12, 2026, at Faith House in Rio Rancho, NM. Born on September 18, 1946, in Kintnersville, PA, John was the beloved son of the late John and Catherine Meister.

John's academic journey began at Kintnersville High School, then led him to further his studies at Kent State and Cal Tech, where he earned his Doctorate Degree in Chemistry. His dedication to education was evident through his teaching at New Mexico Tech in Socorro, NM.

He is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Margaret (Jerry) Mathis, Teresa Pride, and Suzanne Christy (Steve) Killoran. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Steve Killoran.

John's life was enriched by his love for dancing, reading, and hiking. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
