On May 26th Dot entered into eternal rest with our Heavenly father. Dot was born to Jake (JC)

and Myrtle Post in Ojito, NM on September 16, 1952. She graduated from high school in

Mustang Oklahoma in 1969. From there she went to Durango CO. to attend nursing school

where she received her LPN certification. Dot knew at a very young age that she wanted to be a

nurse. She worked as a nurse for PMS for both the Cuba clinic and as a school nurse for Cuba

School for many years, where she got to touch the lives of so many students. She also taught a

nursing class for Cuba students that wished to go into the profession she loved. After leaving

Cuba Schools she went on to work for the VA hospital for 17 years, and worked as a contract

nurse helping uranium miners around the state. She was preceded in death by her parents JC

and Myrtle Post, siblings Alice and Nick Nichols, Jim and Betty Post, Jesse and Jack Bechdol

and Baby Brother. She is survived by her siblings Hap and wife Jana Post, and Kate Page all of

Lindrith. Her four children Julie Casaus of Cuba, Levi and Veronica Casaus of Cuba, Jackson

Casaus of Montana, and Mariah Johnson of Los Lunas, and two nieces that she shared with

Kate, Cathy and Randy Welch of Bloomfield and Crystal and Dan Devine of Pampa Texas, 9

grandchildren Triana Martinez (Richard Hernandez) TraciLynn Trujillo (Steven Trujillo), Levi

Casaus Jr. (Janelle Casaus), Kolt Casaus, Tiffany Welch, Nicole Abney (Grant Abney), Justin

Welch, Blake Hembree, and Tanner Hembree. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren,

many nieces and nephews, cousins, and family friends. Pallbearer’s will be Doyle Post, Justin

Welch, Dan Devine, Jacob Johnson, Ruben Sanchez, and Joe Sanchez. Honorable pallbearers

will be Hap Post. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Catholic

Church on Thursday June 11, 2026. Rosary shall begin at 10:00 AM and mass 11:00 AM.
