It is with the great sadness, we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother: Dolores Patricia Montoya. Dolores 70, passed away peacefully at her home in the early morning on March 29th, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was a loving mother and a joy to be around, everyone loved Dolores especially her incredible cooking and her thoughtfulness.
She is preceded in her death by her husband Frank Montoya, her granddaughter Angelique Carrion- Montoya, her parents Avelino and Frances Lucero. Dolores is survived by her children Frank Jr. Montoya, Vincent Montoya, Renee Akinyemi and husband Michael Akinyemi; grandchildren: Briana Carrion- Montoya, Adrian Carrion- Montoya, Gabrielle Montoya, Monica Montoya, Folashade Akinyemi, Yohannas Akinyemi: great-grandchildren; Amilio Carrion and Avelino Carrion. She is also survived by her siblings, cousins and nieces and nephews who she greatly loved.
In honor of her beautiful legacy, we ask those who do attend her services to please wear purple for it was her favorite color.
A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, beginning at 5:00 pm with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary to follow at the Trujillo Family Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service for Dolores will be held on April 19, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Trujillo Family Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will follow the funeral service at 12:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Park, providing an opportunity for loved ones to come together, pay tribute to Dolores, and celebrate her life. A light lunch will be provided following the burial at Trujillo Family Funeral Home.
Pallbearers honoring Dolores are: Gabrielle Montoya, Briana Carrion-Montoya, Adrian Carrion-Montoya, Yohannas Akinyemi, Alejandro Bolivar, David Sedillo, Carlos Lucero, Lorenzo Lucero. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Amilio Carrion and Avelino Carrion.
Dolores will be remembered for her kind-hearted nature and her unwavering dedication to her family. May her soul rest in peace, and her memory live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
