Dolores Duran

DOLORES DURAN met her Maker on September 15, 2025 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on November 15, 1941 to Max and Rachel (Flores) Duran in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She resided in Moriarty, New Mexico where she raised her sons. She truly loved Moriarty.

She is survived by her sons: Anthony (Lucy) Orio of Moriarty; Mark (Marie) Orio of Arizona; John (Louann) Orio of California; and, Robert Orio of Moriarty; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildern: Willie, Marcus, Autumn, Max, Abby, Hunter, Elena, Joseph, Scarlett, Jason and Olivia, as well as her bonus grandchildren: Victor, Tammy, Tita, Felisha and Erica.

She is also survived by her sisters: Stella Madrid and Maxine Romero; godchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Gilbert, Paul, Joe and Charlie Duran.

Dolores loved her Lord above everything else. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Moriarty, NM, where she served in many ministries. She loved to bake especially her banana bread and Biscochitos and make her beef jerky. She loved to have her friends over and enjoyed going out to eat. She will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank her doctors, nurses and personnel at Mountain View Manor and all her family and friends. A very special thanks to her caregivers: Elsie and Sarah.

A funeral mass is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Rosary at 10 AM and funeral mass immediately following at our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Moriarty, NM. Entrusted to Trujillo Funeral Service.
