Desiree Danielle Herrera, 36, passed away on June 17, 2025 in Albuquerque, New Mexico Born on January 28, 1989, in the same city she called home throughout her life. Desiree brought warmth and light to those around her with her loving spirit and generous heart. Desiree was known for her sweet nature, infectious laughter and deep consideration for others. Her kindness touched many lives, and she carried a joyful presence that uplifted those fortunate enough to know her. She had a giving soul and heart full of compassion.
Her faith was a guiding force in her life. Legacy Church was her spiritual home, where she found strength and purpose. Recently, she had begun serving in the water baptism ministry- a role she embraced with devotion and humility. Desiree loved the Lord deeply, she spoke to him often and sought to serve him in all that she did. Desiree leaves behind a large and loving family who will cherish her memory forever.
She is survived by her sons Andre Boyer (Annette), Anthony Jaramillo Herrera; her brothers Matthew Loera, Jonathan Dominguez (Alma); her sisters Candace Padilla (Ryan), Laureen Herrera, Naveah Herrera; and her beloved grandson Alejandro. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who brought joy to her life, nephews Chris, Ethan, Kaleb, Juanito, Santiago, Elijah, and Andres; nieces Alyssa, Leah, Amaya, Raya, Aaliyah, Unique, and Marie.
She was preceded in death by her brother Nathan Dominguez, uncle Michael Gurule, maternal great-grandmother Louise Herrera, paternal grandmother Geneva Padilla.Desiree’s legacy is one of love- love for family, for faith, and for life itself. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
