Dennis J. Trujillo, aged 67, a beloved resident of Albuquerque, NM, was welcomed into his heavenly home by the Lord on October 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 22, 1959, Dennis now joins his cherished parents, Dionicio and Clara Trujillo, in eternal rest.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Joanne Trujillo; his children Marcus Trujillo, Dennis Jr., Jennifer, and Joe Gomez, whom Dennis loved as his own son. He was a proud grandfather to Patrice and Jade Trujillo. Dennis is also remembered by his siblings, David and Richard Trujillo, and his sister Gloria, along with many other family members and friends who will dearly miss him.
Dennis grew up on Apache St., frequently visiting his grandmother Angelica. He enjoyed an active childhood, forming a lifelong friendship with Phillip Tapia during his school years. After high school, Dennis became a father to Dennis Jr. and Jennifer. It was during his time working at Blake's Lotaburger that he met Joanne, marrying in 1987. The couple welcomed their son Marcus in 1988, living on Apache Street until moving to Baybrook Rd in 1998, where Dennis eventually passed away.
A dedicated family man, Dennis was a guiding mentor to Marcus, who graduated from UNM with a degree in History, a subject Dennis loved. He cherished trips with Joanne, especially to Las Vegas, and shared a passion for music and dancing. Dennis was a devoted fan of Lobo basketball, enjoyed time with family, and treasured the moments spent with his grandchildren. Despite battling illness later in life, he continued to impart wisdom and love to all.
Dennis's true calling was in service to others, often reminiscing with loved ones over music and a cold drink. The legacy of his lessons, traditions, and love will endure through generations.
Memorial services will be held at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Church, with a rosary on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 8:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 9:00 a.m. Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
