In Loving Memory of DeAnna Renee Garcia

Unexpectedly gone too soon, DeAnna Renee Garcia, born on August 4, 1987, passed away on June 26, 2026.

DeAnna is survived by her loving parents, Martin and Rebecca Benavidez; her brother, Martin Benavidez; her three beloved children, Karolina Gutierrez, Alexander Garcia, and Bella Garcia; her cherished grandson, Saint R. Anaya-Garcia; and numerous friends and extended family members who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

DeAnna was full of life, compassion, and unconditional love for others. She had a generous spirit and often took food and supplies to those experiencing homelessness while always making time to care for her parents, her children, and her precious grandson. She found joy in helping others, even when she was carrying burdens of her own.

She was a bright light whose kindness touched everyone she met. One of her favorite sayings was, "You never know what someone is going through." Those words reflected the way she lived her life—with empathy, grace, and a heart that always put others first. Her family asks that her legacy continue by spreading love, choosing peace, and taking a moment to brighten someone's day, just as she always did.

We find comfort in knowing that God has prepared a beautiful place for DeAnna—a place filled with peace, joy, and wonders beyond compare. Though our hearts are broken, we take solace in the hope that one day we will be reunited with her and with the loved ones who welcomed her home with open arms. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of DeAnna's Life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Sagebrush Church, 7500 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. Burial will follow at San Jose Cemetery, 2957 Arenal Rd. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121. A potluck reception will be held immediately following the burial.

Pallbearers will be Elijah Benavidez, Ezekiel Benavidez, Isaiah Marino, Alexander Garcia, Darren Perea, and Patrick Garcia.

In accordance with DeAnna's wishes, the family invites those attending her services to wear bright colors instead of traditional black attire, celebrating the beautiful life, love, and light she shared with the world.
