David E Romero, 64, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and close friends on July 23, 2026. Born on September 10, 1961 to Max and Ramalda Romero.

David had a big heart, always there for everyone, always the first to step up and help in any way he could, and always loyal to the people he loved. He always approached life as a fun loving jokester, always ready to make others laugh and always making friends along the way but he cherished his family above all and nothing in this world meant more to him than his grandchildren.

David was a hard worker, always making sure his family was taken care of even if that meant working multiple jobs. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army’s 5th Infantry Division from 07-02-1981 to 01-28-1988 following military service, he built a career as a truck driver and many other side jobs. 

David was preceded in death by his Father Max Romero, Mother Romalda Romero, and Sister JoAnn Armijo. He is Survived by his beloved wife Emmie Romero of 28 years, Daughters Crystal Romero (Vernon), Nycole Trujillo (Matthew), Grandchildren Arianna, Nykolas, Elijah, Julien (Ashley), Jahsiah, Johnathen, and Leyah, Brothers Anthony Romero (Joyce) Charles Romero (Mary), Sister Roberta Garcia (Wayne), Brother in Law Pete Armijo, and many other family and friends.

A Rosary will take place at St Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church on 4th st and Mildred on August 18th at 6:00 pm, and a funeral mass to follow on August 19th at 9:00 am
