In Loving Memory of Darlene Elizabeth Ramos
March 12, 1959-September 20, 2026
Darlene Ramos was born in Taos, New Mexico. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life touched the hearts of many who had the privilege of knowing her.
Darlene found joy in the simple things in life, especially music. She had a special love and talent for playing the guitar, accordion, and piano, and she enjoyed singing. Music was a beautiful part of her life and something that brought happiness to her and to those around her. She also loved the mountains and the peace and beauty they brought.
Darlene was spontaneous, loving, funny, and kind. She had a way of bringing laughter and warmth into the lives of the people around her. She lived a life filled with both beautiful moments and difficult chapters. She experienced many hardships throughout her life and endured more than her share of struggles. Yet, those challenges were only part of her story. She was also a woman who loved deeply, found reasons to laugh, enjoyed music, and created memories that her family will treasure forever.
Darlene is survived by her daughter, Sarah Gonzales; her son, Raul Gutierrez; and her three beloved grandchildren, Julian Davila, Angel Davila, and Adrian Davila. She is also survived by her siblings, Richard Ramos, Alex Ramos, Helen Ramos, and Janie Ramos Aguilar.
Darlene was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Ramos, and Ezekiel Ramos.
Her life was not perfect, but it was uniquely hers. Darlene faced hardships, experienced love, found laughter, made memories, and left an imprint on the people who loved her. Her story will continue through her children, grandchildren, siblings, and the memories she leaves behind.
Though she is deeply missed, her family will continue to find her in the songs she loved, the sound of music, the beauty of the mountains, and in the moments that bring a smile when they think of her.
Darlene, you were loved. You are missed. And you will never be forgotten.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever in our hearts.
