Christopher Dale Hurley, 65, of Bernalillo, New Mexico, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 17, 2026.

Christopher was born April 13, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, to Leonard Dale Hurley and Sylvia Mae Ballard.

Christopher graduated high school and worked for many years as a foreman at Klinger Constructors, where he had the privilege to oversee numerous large projects in and around the Albuquerque area. He also worked at Philips Semiconductors in his thirties.

Outside of work, he loved to travel and would take his family with him around the country. His foreman skills kept him busy at home tackling any project, like the carport that still stands today. He also loved mornings reading the newspaper and always made time for the crossword.

In his later years, he settled into a quiet neighborhood in Bernalillo, where he took great pride in caring for his yard and looking out for his neighbors. Neighbors had much to say about his kindness and friendliness, and how he always had the "best yard in the neighborhood." He put effort and care into everything he applied himself to, and that same devotion showed in how he loved his family: always expressing his love, supporting them fully, and encouraging them to follow their dreams.

He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather with six children, fifteen grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Dale Hurley and Sylvia Mae Ballard, and his daughter Monica Marie Hurley.

He is survived by his children Stephen Hurley, Tricia Bradshaw, Leonard, Philip, and Arthur Hurley; Jessibel Hurley, mother of Philip and Arthur, who remained close to him throughout his life; grandchildren Caden, Jaxon, Angelique, Andrew, Kayla, David Jr., Sophia, Hunter, Giavanna, Liam, Hailey, Isaiah, Gabriel, Amari, Micheal Jr., and great- grandchild Emery Jean Wall.

His legacy of unbridled love and support will live on through the lives he touched, friends and family alike.
