Cheryl Ann Rubi was born on November 16, 1944, in North Aurora, Illinois. She peacefully passed away on April 19, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, William Grommes and Mary Ann Fitchel, her husband George Rubi Sr., and her son George Rubi Jr.

She is lovingly remembered by her six children: Cathy Escobar, Therese De Lora, Patricia Rubi, William Rubi, Aaron Rubi, and Jennifer Rubi-Humbel. Cheryl was a devoted grandmother to twelve grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to eleven great-grandchildren.
