It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charlie Lovato. 

Charlie was born on September 22, 1942, in Cuba, New Mexico, and went home to be with our Lord on March 17, 2026. He was the beloved son of the late Cosme and Rosa Lovato.

Over the course of his 83 years, Charlie touched the lives of many with his kindness, strength, and quiet resilience. He was a loving and devoted father to his daughters, Christina, Carla, and Margaret, and a deeply cherished presence in the lives of all his family members. His unwavering spirit of perseverance will carry on in all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Charlie was also a cherished grandfather, whose warmth, guidance, and love will be deeply missed by his grandchildren. Beyond his family, he was a loyal and valued friend to all those with whom he formed meaningful and lasting connections.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his sisters, Bessie and Irene, and his brother, Vilo. He will be remembered with love, gratitude, and lasting admiration by all whose lives he touched.

A rosary will be held at San Felipe Catholic Church in Old Town on Wednesday, April 29, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, with a reception to follow.
