Cecilia Rosa Valdez

Cecilia R. Valdez was called home to the Lord on Sunday, January 11th, 2026, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family. She was born on December 11th, 1938, and lived a life rooted in faith, love, compassion, and devotion to her family.

Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents, Rosanna De Baca Gutierrez and Eliseo Gutierrez; her beloved husband, Eustacio Valdez; her son, Fermin Valdez; her granddaughter, Marivel Valdez; and her sisters, Helen Gutierrez and Louise Lucero, and daughter-in-law Sherry Valdez.

Cecilia is survived by her sons, Eustacito Valdez (Tammy Valdez) and Loren Valdez; her daughter, Sheilah Martinez (Johnny Martinez); her sisters, Helen Salazar and Angie Archuleta (Steve Archuleta); sixteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, many nieces and nephews, long-time companion Martin Lopez, and her beloved Tina Martinez.

Her faith in God, love for the Blessed Mother, and devotion to her family will forever remain a guiding light to all.

Services will take place January 31st, 2026 at 10:00 AM St. Francis Church, Lumberton, NM Burial and meal will follow.
