In Loving Memory of Brian Austin Charlie,
May 4, 1994 – October 18, 2026
Brian Austin Charlie was born at Lovelace Women’s Hospital in Albuquerque, NM, on May 4, 1994. He was raised by his father, George "Rudy" Charlie, mother Mary Lou Charlie, and oldest sister Robyn Lujan (Charlie). Always by his dad Rudy’s side, Brian was known as his dad's mini-me, inheriting many of his characteristics. He was incredibly outgoing, talkative, and engaging, spreading love and joy to everyone he met. Brian had an infectious smile, a great sense of humor, and a genuine care for others and the world.
He attended Susie Rayos Elementary School, Jimmy Carter Middle School, LBJ Middle School, James Monroe Middle School, Volcano Vista High School, and alternative schools. Despite his learning disabilities, he earned his GED and went on to attend CNM. A bright and creative mind, Brian had numerous business plans and goals. His skills brought him success in his careers as a server and bartender, and as a manager of several shoe stores for Footaction USA in Albuquerque. He later took part-time jobs to help care for his father after he developed Parkinson’s and invested in the stock market and cryptocurrency.
Brian is preceded in death by his grandmother Elizabeth Simmons-Marcellais, grandmother Rosemary Begay Charlie Davis, brother-in-law Levi Johnny Bruce Sr., brother Jack Danielson, several other grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and his beloved dog Rillo.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by his father George, mother Mary, siblings Robyn Lujan, Kasey Cortez, Ryan Charlie, Jamie Danielson, Jonathan Danielson, nephews and nieces Levi Bruce Jr., Chanelle Alarid, Ryan Charlie Jr., Amani Bruce, Dalis Bruce, Isabella Cortez, Elias Charlie, Alicia Charlie, Israel Cortez, Jasial Cortez, Luciano Lujan, Gabriel Cortez, JT, Clyde, Mateo, Alaia, Landon, and many other family members and friends.
Brian, you are loved. Your memory will live on through all those who know and love you. God bless you, and may you rest in peace.
Services will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8130 Sage Rd. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121.
