Brandis Shavon Chavez

Brandis Shavon Chavez, 40, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on June 5th, 2023. She was born on April 22nd, 1983 in Albuquerque, NM, to Randy Chavez and Shawna Esquibel.

Brandis was a loving mother of her nine beautiful children.  She is survived by her partner, Kong Xay Soumphonphakdy, and nine children: Kai Soumphonphakdy, Santos Chavez, Santiago Chavez, Leilani, Nani, Xay noi, Neko, Genesis, and Paunsuvan Soumphonphakdy.   Brandis is also survived by her father Randy Chavez (Veronica Chavez), Mother Shawna Esquibel, brother Joseph Chavez, and sisters Alexis Chavez and Hannah Chavez.   Her grandparents, Richard and Socorro Chavez, preceded her in death.

Brandis was known for her kindness, generosity, and beauty. She had a passion for making others feel good about themselves.. She was a loving daughter, sister, partner and mother, and her children were her pride and joy.

A ceremony to honor Brandis' life will be held on June 24th, 2023. Her family and friends will gather to celebrate her life, share memories, and say goodbye to a beautiful soul who touched so many lives in a short period of time.
