Billy W. Plumb, 73 passed away at his residence on Tuesday June 28,2022 of natural causes.

Billy was born April 5, 1949 to Selma and Howard Plumb, born and raised in Jacksonville, Fla. He attended Paxon High School, later received his G.E.D. Billy joined the United States Marine Corps. at the age of 18.

Billy spent 22 honorable yrs. in the Marines at the time of his retirement he was 1st. SGT., A Veteran of the Vietnam War. he earned several medals, including the purple heart, silver star. The Discipline,Patriotism,Courage and Integrity he learned in the Marines never left him.

Billy was a cowboy at heart. He moved out west bought a couple of horses which he always enjoyed working with. He loved being outdoors in the wide-open range on his little horse ranch. He later had to give up his horses due to health reasons. He ended up buying a few motorcycles. Which he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson up until his death. He also enjoyed watching old western movies as well as USC and wrestling, He enjoyed country music, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children whenever he could. Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Selma and Leeland Gladin, Howard Plumb; Brother Leland Jr.Gladin, Sister Carol Ann Wallace, Nephew Wesley Gladin

Billy is survived by his daughter Trina Marcy (Richard), Stephanie Finnell, his two sons Jason Plumb, Johnathan Plumb (Kristine) his two grandchildren Natalie and Jacob, his three brothers Gary Gladin (Nancy), Michael Gladin (Judy), Riley Gladin (Sue), sister Brenda Flynn (Mickey)

Billy is further survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles his longtime friend Gary Mead.                                                                 

His family will have private ceremony and cremation honoring his wishes scattering his remains near his favorite spot on his ranch. In lieu of flowers donations are welcome to the Wounded Warrior Project.
