Betty Josie Sedillo, a beloved member of the Albuquerque community, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on July 23, 1950, in Albuquerque, Betty lived a life rich in warmth, laughter, and memorable experiences.
Betty was known for her nurturing spirit and her dedication to her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Nick Sedillo, with whom she shared countless cherished moments. Together, they raised two devoted children, Fred Sedillo and Denise Sedillo, who have fond memories of their mother's love and guidance. Betty took immense pride in her role as a grandmother, nurturing her grandson, Martin Sedillo, and granddaughter, Nicole Tenorio, with boundless affection and joy.
Betty also held a deep connection with her sisters, Irene and Dean, who knew her as a source of strength and inspiration. She shared her life with an enchanting spirit named Buttons, her best friend, who brought her endless delight.
Throughout her life, Betty embraced the joys of cleaning, found excitement in visiting casinos, and loved the tranquility of camping. Her vibrant personality shone through in her ability to socialize with anyone she encountered, leaving a positive mark on all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Although she has been reunited with her parents and her cherished, Frances, Betty’s legacy of love, kindness, and friendship will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral services will be February 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW
