Bessie Trujillo Masten

Bessie Trujillo Masten 76 died on Saturday June 8, 2024 in Arlington, TX. She passed peacefully into the arms of our Heavenly Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born in Torreon, NM to parents Montoya Trujillo & Alice Willeto Trujillo of whom have preceded her in death. She attended college in Oakland, CA where she met her first husband Manuel Gonzales Soto who has preceded her in death. They lived in Abilene, TX for many years. She then married Sammy Masten of San Diego, CA of whom has also preceded her in death. She moved from San Diego, CA to Arlington, TX to be closer to her children & grandchildren. 

She is survived by her eight children Johnelle Trujillo of Torreon, NM, Alicia Flores and husband Jose of Arlington, TX, Michael David Soto and wife Kristy of Abilene, TX, Michelle Ramirez and husband Joe of Abilene, TX, Jessica Soto of Arlington, TX, Melissa Soto Kellum and husband Jamaall of Arlington, TX, Robert Soto and wife Tessa of Arlington, TX, and Matthew Soto of Arlington, TX, and bonus daughter Shareca Kellum & fiancé Marquel Neal of Lewisville, TX. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many grand pups and grand cats.

Grand children: Christian Walters , Calvin Walters , Alyssa Walters , Shayla Montoya , Janaiah Montoya , Bethany Montoya of Torreon, NM, Brenna Looney and husband Ryan of Wichita Falls, TX, Michael Soto Jr. of Abilene, TX, Abigale Soto of Abilene, TX, Damian Soto, Isaiah Soto, Urijah Soto, Preston Soto, Jamaall Kellum Jr. of Arlington, Texas.

Great grandchildren: Jack and Henry Looney of Wichita Falls, TX.

Family and friends are invited to an evening visitation at Trujillo Family Funeral Home on Friday, June 21,2024 from 7pm to 9PM. Funeral services will be Saturday June 22, 2024 at Eagle Springs Baptist Church in Ojo Encino, at 10:00 am. Followed by a brief graveside service at Cuba Baptist Cemetery. Pastor Kevin Chiquito will officiate. The Family welcomes you to a celebration of life reception that will take place back at Eagle Springs Baptist Church after interment. A caring and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, she will be Dearly missed but never forgotten by her family and friends.
