**May 18, 1967 - July 22, 2025**

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Bernadette Garcia on July 22, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. After a brief but valiant battle with cancer, she has left this world, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Affectionately known as Berna, she was a radiant presence in the lives she touched. Her unwavering love for her family was palpable, especially her deep bond with her beloved nephew Jonathan and niece Taylor. Berna’s heart overflowed with adoration for her cherished dog, Cooper, who was her loyal companion.

A passionate San Francisco 49ers fan, Berna brought that same zest for life to her work with youth, where she served as a mentor and role model to many. Her ability to connect with people was unparalleled; her kindness knew no bounds, and there was never a stranger in her eyes.

Bernadette's legacy is woven into the fabric of the countless lives she enriched with her love, laughter, and warmth. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.

Bernadette is survived by her mother, Geneva “G”; her sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and niece. She is preceded in death by her father, James “Bo” Garcia.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Berna’s beautiful life at Queen of Heaven Church, located at 5310 Claremont Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. The services will include:

- **Rosary**: Monday, August 11th at 7:00 PM

- **Funeral Mass**: Tuesday, August 12th at 10:00 AM

- **Burial**: Following the Funeral Mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery
