Benito Espinosa, affectionately known as "Tiger," age 79, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away in the early morning of October 9, 2026.

Benito proudly served as a Sun Van driver for the City of Albuquerque for 14 years. Prior to that, he spent 20 years working at Carnation in California. Alongside his dedicated work life, he lovingly raised his daughter and cherished his role as a grandfather.

Those who knew Benito remember his strong presence, bold personality, wisdom, and unique sense of humor. An avid gun collector, he enjoyed hunting, going to the casino, driving around Albuquerque, and visiting the farm whenever possible. He loved his smokes, Cokes, and TV, but above all, he valued spending time with his daughter, grandchildren, and other family and friends.

Benito was preceded in death by his parents, Lauriano and Maria Eufelia Espinosa; his brothers, Howard, Chris, and Rick; his sister-in-law, Liza; his sister, Georgia; his sister-in-law, Catherine; and his niece, Stephanie.

He is survived by his daughter, Sara; his three grandchildren, Carmelo, Makilo, and BaileyRose; his ex-wife, Sandra; his brothers, Henry, Martin, and Michael; his sister, Elizabeth; and many nieces and nephews.

His love, laughter, and memory will remain with us always.

Services will be announced at a later date.
