Aurora Maria Gonzales

Aurora Maria Gonzales (Gutierrez), age 74, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2023. She was born on October 8, 1948, in Grants, NM.

Aurora was a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother who always put the needs of her family before her own. Her selflessness and willingness to help others in any way she could left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.

Aurora was known for her boundless energy and enthusiasm for taking on any DIY project that came her way. From fixing cars and tending to yard work to cooking delicious meals, sewing beautiful creations, and redecorating with style and flair - there was no task too big or small for Aurora. Her resourcefulness and can-do attitude were an inspiration to all who knew her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. Aurora is survived by her children, Eugene and Josie Gonzales, Audrey and Jose Saenz, and Catarina Gonzales and Carlos Serna. Her memory will also be cherished by her beloved grandchildren: Santos Gonzales, Ceondra and Mathyis Mejia, Esperanza Tena, Nastasia Lucero, Jozette Gonzales, Alex Gonzales, Nathalia Aguinaga, Elianna Aguinaga, and Niko Gonzales. Additionally, Aurora is survived by her great-grandchildren: Lylah Gonzales, Ezekiel Almeida, and Lyric Gonzales.

She was preceded in death by her parents Catarino and Epimena Gutierrez as well as her sisters Rose Lord and Lucille Trujillo. Aurora also mourned the loss of her cherished granddaughter Karleen Zetina.

Aurora's Mass will be held at Holy Family Church at 9am on August 8th, 2023. Following the Mass, she will be laid to rest at San Jose de Armijo cemetery. A reception will be held at Post 100 to celebrate her life and share cherished memories.
