Antonio Lujan

Antonio Lujan, born August 14, 1944, in Torreon, New Mexico, entered eternal rest on December 17, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A Rosery and Mass will be celebrated at San Antonio Parish in Torreon New Mexico, on his behalf on January 10, 2026, starting at 10 am, and he will be laid to rest in Torreon, New Mexico.

Antonio lived a life defined by faith, family, and service. A proud United States Army Green Beret Veteran, who proudly served in the Vietnam War, where he earned the following service awards: Parachute Badge (His Wings), Vietnam Service Metal, National Service Metal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantry Mans Badge, Army Commendation Metal, and the Vietnam Campaign Metal.

He served his country with honor, courage, and bravery. His service reflected the values he lived by—strength, sacrifice, and unwavering loyalty. A true patriot, Antonio carried his love for his country throughout his life. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Theresa, and a loving father to their four sons, whom he considered his greatest accomplishment.

A rancher at heart, Antonio found his greatest joy working the land alongside his sons and grandsons, raising cattle and creating memories that will last for generations. He later retired as a plumber from Gardner Zemke, in Albuquerque where his strong work ethic earned him great respect.

Antonio was preceded in death by his wife Theresa Lujan, and his parents, Patrocino and Teresita Lujan, and his brothers Rosendo, David, and Hilario.

Antonio’s love for Jesus guided his life and shaped the man he was—strong, loyal, compassionate, and faithful. His sons were the pride of his life, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his greatest blessings.

He is survived  by his sisters Clarinda, Teresa, and Cecilia; his brothers Felipe; Pat and wife, Nedda; and younger brother, Carlos; his sons Michael and his wife, Christine; Greg and his wife, Glinda; Mark; and Jonathan; and his Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren Matthew and Arianna; Jason and Tobias; Austin and Tyler; Michael and Angel; Noah and Michael Jr.; Veronica and husband Chris Madrid; Amor; Patricia; Layla; Tabitha and her husband, Joseph Rivas; Tanner and his wife, Anaya; and Tyler.

Antonio Lujan’s legacy lives on through his family and all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
