Andrew Pena, 43, was laid to rest at the family residence in Rio Rancho on October 5, 2026.Born on May 21, 1983, at UNMH Hospital in Albuquerque, NM, Andrew was deeply cherished by all who knew him. He had a huge heart and an incredibly selfless nature, always eager to help family and peers succeed. He loved family adventures and brought joy to every moment with his fun, infectious personality and constant sense of humor. Andrew is survived by his son, Fabian Pena; daughter, Kayla Gutierrez; son, Theseus Gutierrez; and his beloved dog, Bubbas. And his spouse Carmen Gutierrez of 20 years

He is also survived by his mother, Debbie Pena, and stepfather, Martin Rael; sister, Audra Tillett, and brother-in-law, John Tillett; niece, Myha Candelaria his (Boo); nephew, Alijha Candelaria; and step-nieces, Amoriah and Mylena. He leaves behind his sister, Amie Pena, spouse Margarito, and nephews Octavian, Ozias, and Onjrayis Amaya; step-sister, Valerie, and husband Ted Schicht, and niece Bell; step-sister, Becca Rael; and step-brother, Richard, wife Nadia Rael, and niece Eva.As Andrew is laid to rest, he is reunited in peace with his beloved father, David Pena; his great-aunt and uncle, Phillip and Eva Montoya, and grandparents Mariano and Felicita Barela, who helped raise him; and his paternal grandparents, Mary and Manuel Vallejos.Though he was taken too soon, Andrew touched many lives. As we mourn his passing, let us cherish the wonderful stories he left behind and celebrate the life we shared with him. His beautiful soul will remain forever in our hearts.
