Andrew Bockemeier

Andrew Stephen Bockemeier, 35, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on May 24th,

2025. He was born on September 5th, 1989, in Albuquerque, where he lived his entire

life surrounded by family, friends, and a deep appreciation for learning.

Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Stephen William Bockemeier; mother,

Marcia Elizabeth Hagele Bockemeier; and oldest brother, Erik Josef Bockemeier—all of

whom passed on the same heartbreaking day.

He is survived by his brother, Philip Bockemeier; sister-in-law, Karen Bockemeier; and

beloved niece and nephew, Keith and Hannah, who were quite fond of their Uncle

Andrew.

A gifted academic and thoughtful soul, Andrew earned a Master’s Degree in Classical

Studies from the University of New Mexico before continuing on to earn his Juris

Doctorate from the UNM School of Law. He successfully passed the bar exam and was

a practicing attorney, admired by his colleagues for his integrity, sharp mind, and calm

presence.

Those who knew Andrew will remember his quiet strength, compassionate nature, and

enduring kindness. He carried himself with humility and grace, touching many lives with

his sincerity and intellect.
