We are sad to announce the passing of our partner, sister, aunt, and friend Alice Diane Maxey. Alice was born in 1959 to Ralph and Viola Maxey in Albuquerque, and passed away on July 20, 2026.

Alice had a fanciful imagination and was a storyteller. She loved our balloon fiestas, and her peaches. She loved to bake and cook for family and her many friends. Once you met Alice it was rare that you forgot her; she was a unique and special person.

She met the love of her life Steve Palsce in 1995 and knew she had found someone special. They shared many fun filled adventures together before her health took its toll.

Alice was preceded in death by her mother, father and brothers John, Gordon Ray, and Ralph Maxey. She is survived by her life partner Steve, many sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews. Also, her cherished caretakers and friends, Georgia, Terri, and Paula. Her sisters would like to thank them for the many years of support and caring you gave Alice.

After many years of health troubles Alice’s struggles are over; her body changed but her inner light never dimmed.
